Election Commission Meeting

Annual School Election

The Washington County Election Commission will meet on May 18, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 115 of the Washington County Courthouse.   The purpose of the meeting will be:

Approve ballots for the July 13, 2021 Special Elections:  Boston Mtn. Fire District, Sunset Fire District and City of Johnson.

Annual School Election: 

Washington County Election Officials will open and process absentee ballot outer envelopes, voter statements and applications in Room 115 of the Washington County Courthouse. 

Absentee inner ballot secrecy envelopes will be opened on Election Day (May 18, 2021) at 6:30 p.m. in Room 115 of the Washington County Courthouse.  The absentee and early ballots will be tabulated beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Room 115 of the Washington County Courthouse. Results will not be released until after the polls close at 7:30 p.m.  A.C.A. § §7-5-416(a) (5) (d)

Election Day Ballots, after the polls close at 7:30, will be counted in Room 115 of the Washington County Courthouse.

Physical Access to the meeting: 
If you do not have access to a computer, because of space the Election Commission will need to limit the amount of people who can participate or view the meeting in the Quorum Courtroom of the Washington County Courthouse. 

 Seating will be on first come first serve basis and attendees are required to set at least 6 feet apart.
