A G E N D A


1.   Call to Order.

2.   Adoption of Agenda.

3.   Financial Report.   County Treasurer Roger Haney and County Comptroller Cheryl Bolinger will update the Committee on the monthly financial report.

4.   Request from County Judge Marilyn Edwards for the Addition of Six Personnel Positions to the Information Technology Budget.   The Personnel Committee has forwarded this request to Finance Committee with no recommendation. The 2011 Budget Controls require that the Finance Committee suspend the Budget Controls to consider the addition of new positions during the year. 

5.   Discussion on a Mid-Year Bonus for County Employees.   The Personnel Committee has forwarded a request for county employees to receive a bonus check on Aug. 5, the day prior to the Arkansas Sales Tax Holiday weekend.

6.   Report from County Grant Administrator Wayne Blankenship on Grants Awarded to the County and Related Appropriation Requests and Resolutions Needed for Submission of Grant Applications:

* An Ordinance Anticipating and Appropriating Additional Revenue of $1,000,000 in the FEMA Fund for 2011.

* An Ordinance Appropriating the Amount of $19,535 from the Brentwood Community Grants Fund to the Brentwood Community Grant Budget for 2011.

7.   Request from Prosecuting Attorney John Threet for an Appropriation of $2,866 to Salary Line Items in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Budget for 2011.

8.   Request from the County Library to Recognize Additional Revenue of $8,828 in the County Library Fund; and Appropriate $29,828 from the County Library Fund to the County Library Budget for 2011.   This request has been approved by the County Library Board.

9.   An Ordinance Authorizing the Clerk of the Elkins District Court to Expend $5,000 from the District Court Automation Fund.   The Jail/Law Enforcement/Courts Committee has recommended this ordinance to the Finance Committee.

10.   An Ordinance Anticipating Additional Revenue Of $55,357 In The General Fund; And Appropriating $55,357 To The District Court Of Elkins Budget For 2011.   This ordinance is brought to the Committee by the County Comptroller.

11.   Request from Sheriff Tim Helder to Recognize and Appropriate $178,419 to the Sheriff-Enforcement Budget for 2011.   This request is for the addition of two Deputy First Class positions and expenditures for law enforcement in the City of Tontitown. The 2011 Budget Controls require that the Finance Committee suspend the Budget Controls to consider the addition of new positions during the year.

12.   Other Business.   Any other business to be discussed by the Committee will be brought up at this time.
