15th Annual NWA Veterans Run

All Vehicles and riders Welcome

  • Date: 06/16/2018 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Introduction: All Proceeds Are used to benefit those living at the Fayetteville Veterans Home

Northwest Arkansas Bikers for Our Forgotten Veterans

Each year, a group of local motorcycle clubs and individuals come together for our annual

Veteran's Run. This year, we are holding our 15th Annual Veteran's Run on June 16, 2018. In addition

to raising awareness for our forgotten Veteran Heroes residing at the Veteran's Nursing Home in

Fayetteville, our goal is to raise money to assist with the veterans' cost of care.

Currently, the cost of lodging and care in the nursing home is upwards of $4,000 per month for

each veteran, which unfortunately does not always sufficiently cover the veterans' actual needs.

There are upwards of 1 00 residents, and while half of those residents live on the assisted living floor,

the others require full care.

This year's event will begin and end at the University of Arkansas Agri Park in Fayetteville.

From there, riders and drivers will travel through the Ozarks, stopping at various locations along the

way to participate in the poker run.

Proceeds from this- upcoming fund raiser will be used for the essentials not considered a

healthcare "necessity," as well as small luxuries, in an effort to make our veterans more comfortable.

These things may include the following: basic grooming (an outside professional must come in to cut

the veterans' hair and nails), extra coffee and dietary drinks, snacks (such as ice cream-a popular

requ~st), additional blankets, robes, extra socks, and a variety of other needs that may arise and are

within the bounds of the money raised by the Veteran's Run benefit. . .

The money we raise allows us to also provide some large items from large flat screen televisions,

electric assist recliners, large display digital clocks in every room, and we even installed a large

freezer on each floor that is kept stocked with individual serving ice cream every two to three weeks.

Your contributions help to make our event a lasting success for our veterans.

If you are able, we would be extremely grateful if you would consider contributing a prize or

donation this year. Your contribution will make a lasting impact on our local veterans, allowing them

to afford the extra necessities and amenities that their healthcare unfortunately does not provide.

Thank you for both your time and consideration.

Please make any checks payable to: Loners M/C -Veterans Run
