Position Title: Juvenile Detention Officer
Department: Juvenile Detention Center
Salary: $20.90-$23.51/hr.
Pay Grade:11
Workday & Hours: 40 hours a week 10 hour days (Day & Night shifts)
Benefits Eligibility: Eligible (After 60 days of employment, Health - Dental - Vision - Life Insurance - EAP Program - Retirement APERS (Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System)
Vacation Eligibility after 6 months of employment (84 hours up to 3 years)
Sick hours available after 90 days of employment (112 hours up to 3 years)
Twelve Holidays a year + Employee Birthday (Thirteen total)
Job Summary:
The Juvenile Detention Officer is responsible for the daily operation of the detention center. Juvenile Detention Officers provide a safe, secure, and caring environment for up to 36 juveniles ages 10-18. They will work a scheduled shift and be on-call as needed to accommodate officer(s) sick calls and facility emergencies.

Required Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required, this position is subject to pre-employment and reasonable suspicion testing and if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
