The Washington County Board of Education closed its office on June 30, 2000. At that time records were transferred to the Washington County Archives. School Records housed in the Archives include:

• County Supervisor's Annual Reports, 1937-1998
• Minutes of the Board of Education, 1920-2000
• School Census Records, 1928-1978
