In Person Voting

Regular Voter:  Regular Ballot

Shows approved photo ID that is not expired for more than 4 Years

Example of acceptable photo ID include, but are not limited to:

  • An Arkansas driver's license
  • An Arkansas state ID
  • An Arkansas concealed carry handgun license
  • A U.S. passport
  • A U.S. military ID document
  • A student or employee ID card issued by a postsecondary educational institution
  • A public assistance ID card with photo issued by Arkansas or the federal government
  • A voter ID card with photo issued by the County Clerk
  • Detailed  list of Verification of Voter Registration ID requirements

Regular Voter: Provisional Ballot

Is unable to provide approved photo ID or approved photo ID is expired for more than 4 years from the date of the election.

  • Votes a provisional ballot
  • Voter must return to the County Clerk's office in the Washington County Courthouse by 12:00 Noon on the Monday following the election  and show approved photo ID
  • Ballot will count, unless for other reasons the Election Commission determines the ballot will not count

Flagged First Time Voters: Regular Ballot

Shows approved current ID (not expired by even one day) or if expired shows additional ID

Examples of additional ID:

  • Copy of a current utility bill showing the voter's name and address
  • Copy of bank statement showing the voter's name and address
  • Copy of government check or paycheck showing the voter's name and address
  • Copy of another government document showing the voter's name and address

Flagged First Time Voters: Provisional Ballot

A flagged first time voter who fails to show current ID, or ID is expired and no additional ID is shown:

  • Can vote a provisional ballot
  • Would need to attend the provisional ballot hearing to bring evidence and defend the validity of the ballot
