Drop-off Facilities

Most drop off facilities in the county accept:

  • Aluminum & Steel Cans
  • Cardboard & Paperboard
  • Glass Bottles & Jars
  • #1 and #2 Plastic bottles
  • Paper - including newspaper, magazines, junk mail, mixed paper, and telephone books

Special Waste

Certain specialized items can be recycled at the Washington County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Building in south Fayetteville:

Vehicles and Boats

Unwanted vehicles and boats can be donated to Wheels for Wishes, benefiting Make-A-Wish Mid-South. Wheels for wishes will pick-up or tow away vehicles free of charge, anywhere in the county, regardless of condition. Vehicles will be recycled or auctioned off and 100% of the net proceeds benefit children in Arkansas, Northern Mississippi, and Western Tennessee.
