 BEFORE HEADING TO THE POLLS
  • Go to VoterView.org and verify
    • See if you are Registered to Vote
    • Confirm that your Address is correct:  If you address is incorrect call the County Clerk at 479-444-1711
    • View a sample ballot
    • Choose an Early Vote or Election Day site to vote at
  • Locate your approved photo ID:  Below are examples of approved photo IDs
    • An Arkansas Driver's License
    • An Arkansas State ID
    • A concealed carry handgun license issued by the United States or State of Arkansas
    • A U.S. Passport
    • An employee badge or ID document issued by the State of Arkansas, the federal government, or a postsecondary educational institution located in Arkansas
    • A U.S. military ID document or Veterans Affairs ID (Active or Retired)
    • A student ID card issued by a postsecondary educational institution located in Arkansas
    • A public assistance ID card issued by the United States or the State of Arkansas
    • A Voter ID card with a photo issued by the County Clerk
    • If you do not an approved photo ID you can contact the Election Commission Office at 479-444-1766 or County Clerk's Office at 479-444-1711
  • Electioneering is not allowed within a 100 feet of the main entrance of the polling location or inside the voting area.  Examples of Electioneering are:
    • Handing out or distributing campaign literature or literature regarding a candidate, issue or measure on a ballot
    • Soliciting signatures on a petition
    • Soliciting contributions for a charitable cause or other purpose
    • Displaying a candidate's name, likeness or logo
    • Displaying a ballot measure's number, title, subject or logo
    • Displaying or dissemination of buttons, hats, pencils, pens, shirts, signs or stickers containing electioneering information
    • Disseminating audible electioneering information
CHECK IN PROCEDURES
  • Sample Ballots and Voting information will be available at the polling site
  • A tablet with the link to VoterView is available at the polling site
  • Have your approved photo ID ready
Step 1 Poll worker will tell you when to go to the CHECK IN STATION (Poll Book)
Step 2 At each Check in Station you will receive a
Blank Ballot
Stylus
Step 3 Place your ballot in the ExpressVotePrinter
Step 4 You will be asked to show Approved Photo ID
YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAND THE ID TO THE POLL WORKER
Step 5 You will be required to state: Name, Address and Date of Birth
Step 6 The Election Official will verify your information on the tablet
Step 7 You will sign the tablet using provided stylus
Step 8 The ExpressVotePrinter will print the precinct information on your ballot
Step 9 You will remove the ballot from the ExpressVote Printer
Step 10 Take your ballot and provided stylus to wait for the next available Expressvote
EXPRESSVOTE PROCEDURES
Voting instructions will be available on the Expressvote
Step 1 Place your ballot in the Expressvote
Maintain proper distance between ExpressVotes for ballot secrecy
Step 2 Use stylus provided to mark your selections on the ExpressVote
Step 3 Review your selections on the screen
To make a change, touch a selection to return to the ballot
Step 4 Print Ballot
Please review your ballot after it has printed!
If you need to make any changes please alert an Election Official. Do not place your ballot in the ballot box.
Step 5 Take your ballot to the ballot box (DS200)
ExpressVotes are cleaned between Voters
We are still here to answer any questions you have while casting your ballot!

 

BALLOT BOX PROCEDURES

Step 1 Review your ballot. Ballot selections are printed on the ballot
If you would like to change a selection, vote for a contest that you skipped or find an error: Do not place your ballot in the ballot box!
See an Election Official
Step 2 Place you ballot on the green arrow of the ballot box
Step 3 Wait until the ballot box screen displays "Thank you for Voting"
Step 4 Take an "I Voted" Sticker
Step 5 Please recycle your stylus for the Election Commission to clean and use in future Elections!

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ADDRESS IS INCORRECT?
  • Voter will go to the Supervisor
  • Voter will fill out an Address Change Card
  • Supervisor will call County Clerk to change address and confirm that the address is in Washington County
  • Voter will vote a Regular Ballot
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT FOUND IN THE POLL BOOK?
  • Voter will go to the Supervisor
  • Supervisor will call the County Clerk to verify if the Voter is registered
  • If the County Clerk verifies that the Voter is registered the County Clerk will add the Voter to the Poll Book: Voter will vote a Regular Ballot
  • If the County Clerk cannot confirm the Voter's registration the Voter will vote a Provisional Ballot
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DATE OF BIRTH OF NAME IS DIFFERENT?
  • Voter will go to the Supervisor
  • Voter will complete a new Voter Registration Card
  • Voter will vote a Regular Ballot
 WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T HAVE AN APPROVED PHOTO ID?
  • Voter will go to the Supervisor
  • Voter will be given a Provisional Ballot
  • Voter will receive instructions on returning to the County Clerk's office to provide approved ID
  • If you don't have a form of approved photo ID, please call our office before the Election, to discuss options on getting an approved photo ID
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BELIEVE THAT I HAVE RECIEVED THE WRONG BALLOT?
  • Alert an Election Official
  • The Supervisor will work with you and the County Clerk's office to make sure you receive the correct ballot
  • Do not place it in the Ballot Box! You will not be able to receive a new ballot if it has already been placed in the ballot box
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY MIND OR SKIPPED A VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE OR ISSUE?
  • Alert an Election Official
  • The Supervisor will be able to re-issue you a new ballot
  • Do not place it in the Ballot Box! You will not be able to receive a new ballot if it has already been placed in the ballot box
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED ASSISTANCE AT THE POLLING SITE? 
  • Please let an Election Official know
  • If you need assistance two poll workers will provide help
  • Voters can also bring someone to assist them or select someone within the polling site
  • The assistant should do so without comment or interpretation
  • All ExpressVotes are equipped to allow Voters with disabilities to vote unassisted
  • Limits on assisting: No one other than Election Officials may assist more than six Voters in marking and casting a ballot at an Election
WHAT HAPPENS IF I REQUESTED AN ABSENTEE BALLOT AND NEVER RECEIVED THE ABSENTEE BALLOT OR WOULD LIKE TO VOTE IN PERSON?
  • Voter will go to the Supervisor
  • Voter will vote a Provisional Ballot
  • If the County Clerk does not receive the original absentee ballot, the Voter's Provisional Ballot will count, provided there were no other issues
