  • Information / Education about the criminal justice system
  • Referrals to community helping agencies
  • Support at every stage in the criminal court process
  • Liaison between victims and prosecutors
  • Notification of court dates
  • Escort to hearings / trials
  • Advocacy on behalf of victims with employers, landlords, law enforcement, the judicial system and other service providers

We also provide:

  • Assistance with filing petitions for Protective Orders
  • Assistance with filing Crime Victims Reparations

Victims of violent crimes and their families may apply for financial assistance to pay medical bills, counseling fees, income loss, funeral expenses, and more.

  • The crime must be reported to law enforcement within 72 hours and a claim must be filed within one year.
  • The victim must cooperate with the investigation of the crime and must not have contributed to his/her injury or death.
