Recycling Details

Containers

  • Aluminum cans - Rinse
  • Steel cans - Rinse and remove food residue. Place lid inside can.
  • Glass bottles & jars - Rinse and remove lids. No drinking glasses, dishes, Pyrex, light bulbs, or window glass.
  • Plastic bottles & jugs - Rinse. No need to remove lids.
    • Neck must be smaller than bottom of container.
    • #1 and #2 plastics only - includes soda and water bottles, peanut butter jars, milk and water jugs, detergent containers, and shampoo bottles
    • No margarine, yogurt, or other tubs

Paper

  • Mixed paper and magazines - May be loose or in paper bags.
    • No paper plates or cups
    • No milk or juice cartons
    • No frozen food containers
    • No plastic egg cartons
  • Newspaper - May be loose or in paper bags.
  • Paperboard (Chipboard) - Includes cereal and shoe boxes

  • Lighters & Lighter Fluid
  • Mercury Products
  • Paint Products
  • Pressurized Containers
  • Swimming Pool Chemicals
